Abstract:
Corning Incorporated is a well known technology innovation company for more than 160 years. Corning’s strategy is to grow through innovation. In this talk I will outline the innovation practices, successes, and failures. Technology plays a large role in Corning’s innovation process and maintaining a strong technology group (~10% of revenue) has been a consistent strategy that Corning pursued over all these times. I will close with two examples of innovation and subsequent impact. One example from the past and one that I am working on currently – OLED Lighting substrates.
